What happens on the day of rhinoplasty for men?
- Consultation after a 3D CT scan. You go through what you want to change and any breathing problems, and the surgeon marks the planned bridge line and tip direction on your own profile.
- Anesthesia. Sedation for about 1 to 2 hours, as in the clinic’s standard rhinoplasty, and no overnight stay. Bone work or a septum repair can add time.
- The planned changes are made through incisions the surgeon explains at consultation, and the result is checked against the plan before a splint goes on.
- After surgery the clinic checks your condition before you leave. It says it also uses laser treatments in aftercare; ask what they are for and when they happen.
What is recovery like after rhinoplasty for men?
- Days 1 to 3
- Swelling and bruising around the eyes peak, especially if bone was cut, and you breathe through your mouth. Rest with your head raised.
- Days 7 to 10
- The splint and stitches come out. The nose looks swollen and feels stiff, and the surgeon can say at this visit when light desk work suits you.
- Weeks 2 to 3
- Most bruising has faded. When you go back to work depends on your job and how much bruising is left. Keep away from weights and impact for now.
- Weeks 4 to 6
- Your surgeon decides when heavy weights, heavy glasses and contact sport are safe again.
- Months 6 to 12
- The bridge and tip settle. Thick skin keeps the tip swollen longer, so judge the final shape late in this period.
How long should you stay in Seoul after rhinoplasty for men?
Plan on 7 to 10 days in Seoul for male rhinoplasty. In our general guidance, an implant plan has the splint and stitches out at the day 7 check and a flight from about day 8, while a plan built from your own cartilage, or one in which the bones are cut, can keep the splint and stitches in until day 10, so book your flight for the end of that range. If the bones are cut to straighten or narrow the bridge, bruising around the eyes takes 2 to 3 weeks to fade, so some men plan a few more days before meetings in person. As after any operation, if you become breathless or have chest pain, get emergency care first, then tell the clinic. If rib cartilage is used, soreness at the chest wound that eases day by day is expected, but chest pain that comes on suddenly or gets worse needs emergency care first, then a call to the clinic. Do the same for a nosebleed that is heavy and does not stop.
What are the risks of rhinoplasty for men?
- A hump taken down too far, which leaves a scooped, softer profile
- A tip turned up or narrowed too much, so the nose looks less masculine than you wanted
- An implant that shifts, shows through thin skin or becomes infected, which can mean removing it
- Uneven bones or a bridge that is not quite straight after bone work
- Breathing that stays blocked, or becomes harder than before surgery
- Swelling, bruising, a numb tip and nosebleeds in the first weeks
- With your own cartilage, pain or a scar where it is taken and cartilage that can warp over time; after a rib graft, rarely, air leaking around the lung (pneumothorax)
- A shape you would want changed, which means another operation

How long does male rhinoplasty take in Korea?
Under sedation, about 1 to 2 hours, which are the same figures the clinic lists for its standard rhinoplasty, and you go back to your hotel that day. Combining it with septum work or a cartilage graft from the rib can make it longer, and a rib graft may mean general anesthesia, so ask for your own timing.
Are men as satisfied with rhinoplasty as women?

Can I go back to the gym after male rhinoplasty?
