Plastic surgery costs in Korea: what a quote includes

Plastic surgery costs in Korea depend on your plan, which the surgeon confirms after seeing your photos and examining you in person. A complete quote names the surgeon and lists the method, anesthesia, tests, medication, garments, follow-up visits and the revision and refund terms. Hotel and flights sit outside the quote and are yours to budget.

What a complete quote includes.

The clinic quotes from your photos and confirms the final price at the in-person consultation. Before you pay, check that the quote covers every item under “Should be on the quote”.

Should be on the quote

  • Surgery by the surgeon named on the quote
  • Anesthesia and pre-op tests
  • Medication and compression garments
  • Follow-up visits and stitch removal
  • The method, and any implant by brand and size
  • Revision and refund terms

Budget for separately

  • Hotel and flights
  • Airport transfers and taxis to clinic visits
  • Extra nights if a check-up moves
  • Recovery supplies such as cold packs, gauze and saline
  • Interpreter, if the clinic does not provide one
Recovery essentials laid out on linen: gel eye mask, gauze, saline, lip balm, scarf, sunglasses, passport and a charger

Whether a tax refund applies to international patients depends on the rules on your surgery date, so leave any refund out of your budget and ask the clinic. Prices advertised on Korean-language sites, including event prices, may not apply to international patients. Rely on your written quote.

How long each recovery usually takes.

Days are counted from surgery day. Use these numbers to plan your trip, then confirm them with the surgeon at your in-person consultation. Each procedure page lists its risks.

How many nights should you book?

Add the nights before surgery for arrival and the consultation. Combined procedures can take longer, and long flights soon after surgery raise the risk of a blood clot, so walk the aisle and drink water on the plane. Some plans, such as breast augmentation, list stitch removal at about 2 weeks, often after you are home, so ask how yours will be handled before you book.
