Motiva breast implants in Korea
Motiva breast implants are a silicone gel brand. Urban Plastic Surgery, our partner clinic in Seoul, offers them alongside Mentor and Sebbin and suggests them for a soft feel or small chest wall. Surgery lasts up to 2 hours under general anesthesia or sedation. Most people resume light activity in 3 to 4 days and stay 7 to 10 days.
Who is a good candidate for Motiva breast implants?

Which method fits you?
The clinic offers three implant brands and lists the same surgery time and recovery for each. Choosing a brand is only one decision. The surgeon also helps you choose the shape, surface, size and profile, and whether the implant sits under or over the chest muscle.

What happens on the day of Motiva breast implants?
- Consultation. The surgeon examines your chest, skin and breast tissue and shows you implant options in different sizes.
- You agree on the brand, model, size, incision and placement. Ask for these details in writing.
- General anesthesia or sedation. The implant is placed in up to 2 hours, with no drain, according to the clinic.
- Before you leave the same day in a support garment, ask for your implant card or a record showing the Motiva model, size and serial number.
What is recovery like after Motiva breast implants?
- Days 1 to 3
- Tightness, soreness and swelling in the chest. The support garment stays on day and night, and lifting is off limits.
- Days 3 to 4
- Most people are back to light daily activities. Exercise and lifting still have to wait.
- Days 7 to 8
- Check-up at the clinic, usually the last visit before your flight home.
- Week 2
- This is the time the clinic lists for taking stitches out. If you flew home after the day 7 or 8 check, use the arrangement you settled with the clinic before booking.
- Weeks 4 to 6
- Most discomfort has gone. Ask your surgeon before you return to upper body exercise, which is often avoided for about six weeks.
- Month 3
- By about three months the implants have usually dropped and softened, and this is when the shape is judged.
How long should you stay in Seoul after Motiva breast implants?
The brand does not change the trip. The clinic lists the same timeline for Motiva, Mentor and Sebbin, so plan 7 to 10 days in Seoul, with a check-up around day 7 or 8 before you fly. The clinic also lists 3 to 4 follow-up visits in all; find out how many of them happen in Seoul. The 2-week stitch removal usually lands after your flight, so sort out with the clinic beforehand how it will be done. Pack your Motiva implant record, with model and serial number, alongside your passport.
What are the risks of Motiva breast implants?
- Capsular contracture: the scar capsule that forms around any implant, Motiva included, can tighten and make the breast firm, painful or misshapen
- Implant rupture or leakage, which may only show on ultrasound or MRI
- Bleeding (hematoma), fluid build-up (seroma) or infection
- Changes in nipple or breast sensation
- An implant that shifts out of place, or rippling, wrinkling and uneven breasts
- Visible scarring, or breast pain that does not go away
- A blood clot in a leg or lung, a risk that a long flight in the first days after surgery raises. If you become breathless, have chest pain, or one leg becomes painful and swollen, get emergency care first, then tell the clinic, and do not fly until a doctor says it is safe. Anesthesia or sedation carries its own general risks
- BIA-ALCL, a rare lymphoma that can develop in the implant capsule. The FDA reports most cases with textured surfaces and some with smooth ones, so ask which surface your Motiva model has. Squamous cell carcinoma in the capsule has also been reported, rarely
- Breast implant illness, the name used for symptoms such as fatigue or joint pain that some people attribute to their implants
- More surgery later, because implants are not lifetime devices. Choosing a particular brand does not remove these risks
What affects the cost of Motiva breast implants in Korea?
There is no Motiva price on this page yet; a quote comes from the clinic after it reviews your photos. The quote depends on which Motiva model you choose, the incision, the anesthesia and anything combined with the augmentation. In writing, ask for the surgeon’s name and the precise Motiva model, size and surface, with the support garment, follow-up visits and stitch removal. Ask whether that model carries a manufacturer warranty and how it works once you are back home.

Is Motiva better than Mentor or Sebbin?
No single brand is better for everyone. Each brand makes several shapes, surfaces and sizes, and the right implant depends on your tissue and goals. The clinic lists the same surgery time and recovery for all three.
Are Motiva implants FDA approved?
In September 2024 the US FDA approved two Motiva silicone gel implants, SmoothSilk Round and Round Ergonomix, for breast augmentation in patients aged 22 or older. Ask the clinic which Motiva model it proposes for you.
Do Motiva implants carry a risk of BIA-ALCL?
BIA-ALCL has been linked to breast implants in general. The FDA reports that most cases involve textured implants, with some in smooth implants. Ask which surface your model has, and see a doctor if a breast swells or a lump appears, even years later.
How long does Motiva breast augmentation take?
The same as with the clinic’s other two brands. The operation is listed at up to about 2 hours, you are asleep or sedated, and you go back to your hotel that day. Light daily activities usually resume by day 3 or 4.
